Welcome to the wine and olive mill tour in Malaga. Would you like to discover the real ancient culture of the wine and olive oil the south of Spain? Let´s join us and come to visit a cooperative working since 1977, where few producers deciced to become partners working together in order to process their products and sell them locally.
More than 40 years later, the younger relatives of the original funders produce about one million of liters of wine and same quantity of olive oiapart that thousands of kilograms of snack olives, exporting it abroad, but keeping the same working essence taught by their ancestors.
A small town with a very rich soil
We will travel crossing the mountains reaching the fields, about 45 minutes’ driving distance from the center of Malaga, where we will see green landscapes full of different trees in an environment that is hard to imagine is possible to see in the really dry south of Spain. Stopping in a field we will have a pretty walk of 25 minutes learning about the particularities of the grapes and olives productions, surrounded by vines planted in 1960 and olive trees older than 300 years.
After our walk, we will drive five minutes to the big factory where the producers take their fruits to be converted into the final product. We will see all the machines and processes necessary for the obtention of the best quality in a guided tour of 45 minutes approximately, finishing with a tasting of snack olives just extracted with a pipe, on the old way, from the huge tanks buried underground where thousands of kilograms of olives are being cured in brine.
And finally, we will reach the (full of oak barrels) wine aging room, where will have the tasting of three different olive oils + 5 wines, all produced there, with plenty of tapas such as tortilla, cheese, olives… and more.
If at the end of the tour you liked any of their products will be a chance to purchase any of them directly from the producers, making it really cheap. (About 4 € for a bottle of wine).
It´s not just the tasting
The tasting will be delicious, guaranteed, but it will be also a very interesting lesson about the old art of basic food production since thousands of years ago. All mixed with history and culture, making the day full of tastes but also full of useful knowledge about Spain and even ourselves.
Join us and discover places where that tourists never reach, where no one speaks English.
Guided visit to the vineyards
Driving 45 minutes from the starting point we will reach the vineyards, where we will have a walk of 30 minutes passing near the olive and almond trees, learning about the production of them.
Then we will have a 40 minutes guided visit around the winery, oil press / mill, and also the third part of the factory: The cooking / seasoning part for the olives that are served as snack in the malaguenian bars, having also a tasting of them.
After the guided visit we will stop in the prettiest room: The aging room, where the wine is being aged, and then we will taste different olive oils & wines with tapas as tortilla, chorizo and olives and will have plenty before to come back.

ExcellentBased on 770 reviewsAlex M16. August, 2024.A+ Experience Great experience and excellent value! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He led us through the Alcazaba in a way that avoided the throngs of other tourists and gave us relevant information while also keeping the tour moving at a good pace. We weren’t able to enter the Cathedral because a Mass was taking place; however, that part of the tour was substituted with a visit to Malaga’s oldest ice cream shop. Definitely recommend this tour if you have limited time and want to see the highlights.Robert D17. May, 2024.Best tapas &brief tour The no-lines access, historical highlights and great local tapas restaurants were fantastic … tour guide was great, very informative and personable!Colleen B8. May, 2024.Wonderful tour Damian was a fantastic guide! This is a very very good tour - informative, fun and delicious! Would definitely recommend.Janice S3. May, 2024.Walk a little Eat a lot It turned out we were the only ones on this fabulous tour with Damien. He did a great job showing us the Alcazaba Fortress, Roman Theater, and Cathedral. Having him to ourselves made it very in-depth. The two bars we went to for tapas were great. We enjoyed the wine and varied food choices. This part may have been a little more fun with others. We were only in Malaga for 24 hours and we felt we really got a good feel for the culture and gastronomy thanks to Damien.Karen O17. April, 2024.This tour is excellent and a great place to start learning about Malaga history. This was our first tour on first day in Malaga. It was great for seeing the “must see” fortress and the cathedral and of course the Roman theater. If we were on our own we could never have had the time to get into the fortress or the cathedral for such a quality experience. With Paco, we walked past literally everyone in the ultimate skip the line. For the church, there were a couple hundred people, waiting to get in after mass, and we four plus Paco walked in around twenty minutes ahead of the line. I seriously felt like some kind of VIP and it was nice to be able to get a start on seeing all that is inside the cathedral with very few people at all inside. We had tapas at one place inside and then another outside under a shade. All the food and wine was superb. I’ve been here four days now and with so much to see, I am so grateful I chose this tour and hit the ground running with these important sights.Ron T8. April, 2024.Must do in malaga Damien was our guide. Was one of the best guided tours I've ever experienced He was very knowledgeable as well as funny. Our group of 6 had a great time.Lisa A10. March, 2024.Excellent!! A great experience with our guide Paco! We enjoyed the food, drinks and culture. The tour is excellent and highly recommended!tedaileen29. February, 2024.Nuggets of knowledge and fun We were fortunate to get Miguel as our tour guide but after reading reviews I’m sure they are fantastic. Miguel has a passion for his city and started the company and only hires those that have the same passion and love for Malaga, travel and people as he does. We always book a walking tour in every new city we travel to. We have never had a bad or average tour. But this tour with Miguel was on a different level. I’d love to share all the amazing things he pointed out but I have a feeling they are great at reading folks and what their interests are. The nuggets of knowledge he dropped on us was amazing. To visit Malaga without doing this tour would be a mistake. If I could give 7 out of 5 stars I would. It was perfect and not many things are. Thank you again Miguel. Aileen and I had a fabulous time. Salud! TedDawn J31. January, 2024.A fun way to learn history & try new foods This was an outstanding tour! Paco was our guide and as a long time local he was quite knowledgeable about the history of the cathedral and fort that we toured. There was only ourselves and one other couple on our tour, which made it even more enjoyable. Paco included 2 restaurant stops and we enjoyed delicious food. To my surprise, my very favorite item was thinly sliced eggplant that was coated in sugar and served with maple syrup. That's a great way to eat vegetables! My husband and I would both highly recommend this company and Paco to other Malaga travelers.Susana A16. January, 2024.Amazing Malaga walking tour Paco is an amazing guide! We loved the tour, we were a big family - 10 people - from 3 to 89-years-old, and he was able to please everyone. He's polite, fun, patient and knows everything about the city. In this picture, my father and him having a great time. Strongly recommend!
