We’ll get started with a brief introduction of the tour! Our local expert & licensed tour guide will give you a short summary about what it’s included and the timing.
Next up, you’ll visit the most famous bar for Hot Chocolate and Churros (fried dough), a local treasure to enjoy this delicious treat. We will grab some churros and chocolate and enjoy it on the go!
We will continue with a second stop, the oldest tavern in the city, where you have the opportunity to taste the delicious Malaga Sweet Wine, same spot where Hans Christian Andersen spent hours, if not days! We’ll pair this wine with local seafood.
The next stop is what we call THE STOP, Atarazanas Food Market, inside a historical building from the second half of the XIX century. We will try here the iconic Tinto de Verano (red wine with carbonated lemonade). Sorry, no sangria, that’s for tourists!! More food to taste as shrimps skewers. Inside the market we’ll share with you some interesting anecdotes and stories behind the stalls. After this immersion in the local culture we’ll head to other city highlights. We will taste as well some local products as almonds, olives and other traditional products of this fertile area in another stall inside the market.
Our 5th stop includes a local ultramarino, a family run business where you can taste all meats coming from the Iberian pig as chorizo, Iberian ham and salchichón (salami) as well as some cheese all paired with another traditional drink: vermouth!
Last but no least, our 6th stop where you can try a different variety of pintxos (tapas on bread) plus red or white wine, tomato salad and much more!!
After this 3 hours tour you’ll be ready to move yourself around Malaga like a local! You’ll have done so much more than eating some local food and wandering around, we bet that now Malaga will have found a place in your heart ❤️
