We’ll begin with a brief welcome and tour orientation, where your licensed local guide will outline what’s included and how the experience will unfold.
Our journey starts in the monumental heart of Málaga’s Historic Center. On the way to the Cathedral (closed on Sundays), your guide will bring to life the stories and anecdotes behind Calle Larios and Plaza de la Constitución, two of the city’s most emblematic spaces. We’ll then arrive at Bishop’s Square, a beautiful setting to admire the impressive Baroque façade of the Cathedral.
Entering the Málaga Cathedral with skip-the-line access, you’ll take a seat while your guide offers an in-depth explanation of its construction and history. You may be surprised to discover the fascinating connections between this monument and the independence of the United States.
After this cultural immersion, we continue to the Alcazaba, a breathtaking Moorish fortress over 1,000 years old. We’ll wander through its ancient paths, courtyards, and historic rooms while enjoying some of the finest panoramic views of Málaga from its hilltop setting.
On our way back down to the Historic Center, we’ll stop at the Roman Theater, nearly 2,000 years old, where you’ll get a true sense of Málaga’s Roman past—almost like stepping back into the time of Julius Caesar.
By the end of the tour, with your appetite for history and culture fully satisfied, you’ll have done far more than simply admire old stones. You’ll understand Málaga from a deeper, wider perspective—and we’re sure it will have found a place in your heart ❤️
